Professional Property Management, Inc. has been providing affordable, quality housing to the Ames market since 1977.
Our owner began in the basement of what now is the First American Bank with one employee. Since then, PPM has grown to over 400 properties in the Ames area and 1200 properties in the Des Moines area.
PPM prides itself in our Customer Service, knowing that our clients and residents deserve the best and friendliest hospitality possible. Our diverse population should receive respect, commitment, and service exceeding even their expectations.
Our Purpose:
It is our vision to be a leader in the housing industry by providing value, quality, comfort, and a rewarding environment. Our desire is to continue to set the standard for the industry while maintaining a high level of satisfaction for our customers and employees.
Americans with Disabilities:
We strive to accommodate the need of anyone with a disability. Some of the units have added features that make the unit more convenient for people with disabilities. Other units are designed so that changes can be made at either a modest cost or at no cost to the tenant. We will consider any request to modify a unit or building to better meet your needs.
Pet Policy:
Pets are generally prohibited, except fish. Animals that are medically necessary or are necessary to assist someone with a disability will be permitted under the appropriate circumstances.
Occupancy Limits:
Number of Bedrooms Maximum Occupancy
Efficiency 1
1 Bedroom 2
2 Bedroom 4*
3 Bedroom 6*
Since we provide the heat, water, sewer, and we guarantee the electricity in most of our complexes, we charge $15.00 extra for each person over 2 persons in a 2 bedroom and 3 persons in a 3 bedroom apartment. When we provide only water and sewer, we only charge $5.00 extra and if the tenant is responsible for utilities, there is no extra charge.* The zoning in most areas of Ames allows only 3 unrelated people in a dwelling.
